Review: Directors Cut 01 [VOITAX]

After a plethora of impressive releases from the likes of I Hate Models, Paàl & more, Voitax strikes again with this immense VA. The release is ladened with Irish talent such Swarm Intelligence and Rory St John. A collection of eccentric electro veering off the beaten track.

The A1 features luminary Umwelt 'Time Crystal', the time-bending arpeggiator digresses into a sinister electro atmosphere. The track is both uplifting and gloomy with a tense impression and a persistent drone that's leaves a sense of impending doom.

Rory St. John’s track 'Rotoscopus' inaugurates with percussive elements that instill a sanguine tone and erupts into eccentric electro obscurities enthralling the listener with the perpetual entity it is. Then onto the b-side, Talker’s 'Inchoate' is minimalistic piece. The melancholic track effectively demonstrates it's efficaciousness.

The VA finishes with Swarm Intelligence's 'Cumulus', the composition of this mesmerising piece transcends into an ethereal but gripping construction of junglist innovation. It delves into your subconscious rummaging feelings of desolate nostalgia with its intricate textures appeasing to the complexity of the human mind.

Releases will be on 12” vinyl and limited to 300 copies. Buy at clone.nl or on Bandcamp.
