This four-track EP named ‘Curiosity’ from techno duo, Abstract Man marks the beginning of the new On the 5th Day imprint, the latest branch to extend from the heart of the London-based underground project.

Beginning with 'Curiosity' itself, the track unfolds at a steady pace with a punchy kick taking us through to a darker and mesmerising abyss of sounds. A remix from Mike Parker - an artist we highly respect here at MOTZ - allows him to put his own sonic stamp on the production with an eerie, metallic version of the original, showing Parker's ability to veer away from the sound he's known for yet still maintain his skill to captivate many a techno fiend.

'Proposition' delivers relentless drums  layered over a menacing rhythm which quickly transports the listener down an ominous rabbit hole of spaced out melodies. Propelled by the sultry percussive elements throughout, 'Proposition' reveals its inner murk thanks the 'less is more' approach the On the 5th Day co=founders adhere to in the studio.

'Exploration' ends the EP on a high. Perhaps the brightest track out of all four creations, its fitting title is brought to life with an enticing rhythm fused with tingly percussion to gear us up for next endeavour from Abstract Man.

Available on vinyl and digital format.
