Review - RAW Compilation I: First Blood

RAW Agency has been growing strength to strength throughout the years and accumulating some of the industry's finest such as CJ Bolland, Umwelt, Under Black Helmet, Morbeck and I Hate Models. They also have a healthy roster of up and coming talent and recently enrolled the likes of TWAN and Gijensu.

With a plethora of great artists, RAW have decided to showcase their artists and create a 4 part compilation. The first part is an eclectic mix of techno, ebm, electro and more. Each artist depicting their individual style in this series.

Starting with ABSL's 'Le perçant arcus' an eldritch banger that thrusts you into imminent doom with heavy kicks, panning around you ready to pounce. War like sirens and an ominous synth line recurring throughout generating a nightmarish feel.

ILLNURSE's track 'Befriedigung' translating to satisfaction, is an EBM/electro infused track with a seductive female vocal that allures you into the climax and accompanied by a frenzy of synths and a vigorous bassline. Unadorned but effective use of percussion,

Mayeul demonstrates his high energy manner for his track 'Synchronize' apt for any dancefloor.

Tim Tama's 'Unrelenting Assault' is an appropriately named track, as it's an absolute weapon! Stabbing synths giving it a rave atmosphere that would slaughter any crowd.
