Premiere: End Train - Hypnosis (Tapefeed remix)
Tales Collective are set to release their third production on July 27th titled 'Monoideism'. The 4 track EP features a range of London based producers including Ireen Amnes, End Train and remixes from label owners Ossa Di Mare and Tapefeed.
Monoideism is a state of prolonged absorption in a single idea - a concept which is associated with trance, hypnosis, meditation and a focus on individual thoughts.
Taking inspiration from James Braid who was known as the 'gentleman scientist' from Scotland over 200 years ago, Braid experimented with objects to send people to a different state of consciousness where they could heal by bypassing the natural limitations of the mind. Initially he called it hypnosis (from Hypnos = sleep and osis = condition). Reflecting Braid's approach to experiments, the EP is sonically on par with Braid's mind altering technique.
