Review: Ossian - Necessary Illusions [S.L.A.M]

After the highly acclaimed release of 'Butch/Buck' EP on S.L.A.M with label partner Ansome, Ossian has comeback with a solo debut featuring a remix from UVB.

The first track Shock & Awe has a pounding kick that infiltrates you accompanied by penetrating synth stabs suitable to slaughter any dancefloor. Next on the EP is Sickly Inhibition, a more experimental track with a plethora of enthralling elements, fused together with broken beats and eerie vocals. On the B side Ossian presents Necessary Illusions, a powerful track that embodies an apocalypse with battle horns, distorted rhythms and demonic synths that leaves you embracing the impending doom. For the remix, the dark lord of the spinners summons UVB to conclude the EP with their rendition of Necessary Illusions.
