Florian Meindl 'Isometric' - EP Review

Seasoned producer Florian Meindl has worked relentlessly in the last year to produce a rumbling and powerful 4 track EP ‘Isometric’, recently released on his label FLASH Recordings. One for the educated techno fiends, ‘Isometric’ is packed with sinister grooves and a healthy dose of acid to keep us on our toes.

Stepping into the weird world of tumultuous techno, Meindl debuts his first track on the EP - the same title as the overall production - ‘Isometric’. Intense modulation makes a notable intro tune, swiftly leading into the squelchy ‘Acid Harmo’. Pumping with the unmistakable noise of a 303, an unexpected increase in heart rate may occur as this up-tempo track impacts our ears with rowdy, punchy beats. Propelling further into Florians realm, the hypnotic ‘Cubism Composer’ is charged with emotional melodies, balancing out the previous tracks with a deeper feel. Ending the production on a high, ‘Impossible Object’ completes the EP with an unusual blend of apocalyptic, bleepy sounds combined with compelling drums throughout.

‘Isometric’ remains consistent throughout as a murky, obscure piece of work that fails to disappoint. A wonderfully dreamy yet banging aura has created Meindl’s signature sound so we can loose ourselves in an utterly pleasurable listening experience.

You can catch Florians infectious energy this Friday at 2 YRS Absolut Techno - Clubtour Bern in the Rondel club, Bern, Switzerland.
